TV show hosts David Letterman and Stephen Colbert got iPad before the official release. The reason how Dave managed is unknown, but Stephen Colbert said he had to give up a kidney to get the iPad.

iPad is another unnecessary device that Apple has created touting it as magical and revolutionary. The whole media industry is 'serving' Steve Jobs by doing free publicity and advertisement for theiPad. Newsweek put iPad on its cover for free where as Amazon had to pay heavily for a Kindle advertisement on the back cover.
