Flight Control HD was released for the iPad platform on March 31, 2010 and was timed to coincide with the release of the iPad itself on April 3, 2010. This is an updated version of the popular game Flight Control, which was also produced by Firemint for the iPhone. Flight Control HD is as the name suggests a version of the game produced in HD (high density) format. Flight Control sold more than 2 million copies and was the number one paid application in more than 20 countries.

Flight Control HD has been redesigned for the much larger iPad screen and retains all the features of the original plus many new features. Examples of new features include – more space to land your planes on, an increased number of airports, a larger number of modes of play (including co-op and split screen).

Players wishing to can auto-connect their Facebook/Twitter accounts to automatically publish their high scores and other information online. The downloadable Facebook app is used to see how you compare against your friends, you can set-up personalized leader boards if you wish.

* Eight single-player maps: three new HD airfields, all the Classic maps from the iPhone version (Original, Beach, Carrier and Outback) plus a new Snow airfield with variable wind direction.
